Biography of Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters is the American alternative rock band formed in 1994 by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a follow-up project on the dissolution of his previous band. The band's name was inspired from UFOs and other aerial phenomena that were reported by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II, known as Foo fighters (Foo Fighter).

Initially, Dave Grohl of Nirvana is one of personnel. Together with his partner, Kurt Cobain, Nirvana Grohl had raised the name to get to the peak of his career. But the unity did not last long because Kurt Cobain must face the Lord first. Since Cobain's death, Grohl did not know what to do, so choose to dissolve the band is built with Kurt Cobain. After that he formed a partnership premises of various parties, until he found a partner and founded a new band called Foo Fighters.

Foo Fighter consists of five personnel, that Dave Grohl who fills the position of lead singer, guitarist, drummer, and percussion (1995-present), Pat Smear as guitarist and backing vocals, (1995-1997, 2006-2009, 2010 - present), bassist Nate Mendel at position (1995-present), Taylor Hawkins to fill the position of drums, percussion, and backing vocals (1997-present), and Chris Shiflett with guitar and backing vocalnya.

Foo Fighter's first album release in 1995 with the title FOO FIGHTERS. Success with the first album, Foo fighters continue to cease in the field of music. Finally, they can still show themselves after rising second album titled THE COLOUR AND THE SHAPE (1997). Achievement does not stop there as they continue to launch the album, that THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE (1999), ONE BY ONE (2002), IN YOUR HONOR (2005), Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace (2007). In addition, they are working on their next album titled wasting LIGHT is scheduled to be released in 2011.

Before its release in 1995, the only official member of Foo Fighters Grohl. But eventually the band had grown to include members joining another band, namely Nate Mendel and William Goldsmith. Unfortunately Goldsmith left the band a short time later. After it was replaced by Pat Smear, who was followed by Taylor Hawkins and Franz Stahl. Stahl then also left the band so the members of Foo Fighter remaining four. Luckily Chris Shiflett joined thereby completing the formation of the band becomes more solid. Pat Smear was Foo Fighter vacuum of activity for some time, but eventually he rejoined. Throughout the journey, the album had won three Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album.
