It happens to the body when water ice


Many people who like to drink ice water even though the weather is cold. Many more are drinking ice water when the weather is hot. In no scorching weather, ice water does look like a 'heaven' which gives a sense of cool in the body. But you should be careful when drinking ice water.

Drinking ice water can provide benefits, but also can cause problems in the body. Here are some reasons why you should not drink ice water too often, as reported by Health Site (04/03).

1. Disrupt digestion
Drinking cold water or ice water will slow down the digestion of food prose because water ice will constrict blood vessels. When the body takes too much time to digest food, nutrients are depleted and lost before it is absorbed by the body.

2. Rob nutrition
Normal body temperature is 37 degrees Celsius and when you drink water that is too cold, the body must use more energy to set the temperature back. Though the energy necessary for the body to digest food and absorb nutrients. With the energy that has been used, the body will not absorb the nutrients optimally.

3. Triggering sore throat
Drinking cold water will cause the mucus in the lining of the esophagus. Channel throat becomes more susceptible to infection and inflammation.

4. The heart rate becomes slow
The study revealed that drinking ice water can stimulate the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is the nerve that is important and controls the body's involuntary activities such as heartbeat. Water ice will affect the performance of these nerves and causes the heart rate becomes slower.

Those are some problems that can occur in the body when drinking ice water. Should not be too often drink ice water. If you have to drink ice water, reduce the habit from now on.
