Introduction of 4G: High frequency carriers is what to expect next, in mobile phone telephony. Wireless technology has advanced to a level that high speed mobile broadband connection can be established in order to transfer data at very high speeds. The speed or bandwidth availability for 4G/LTE is supposed to be 1Gbps for stationary devices or devices moving at slow speed and up-to 100Mbps for devices moving at high speed.
IP telephony: For Mobile communication, which works on GSM/CDMA technologies for voice transfer, IP telephony is supposed to be deployed soon for communication purposes. IP standards will push the voice over IP or VoIP to provide more qualitative communication facility to its users.
NFC: NFC is another add-on in wireless network for facilitating machine to machine communication processes. NFC or Near-field Communication allows users to transfer information between devices including financial information as well, which describes its open yet secure nature of communication. Being a short-range technology, NFC uses 13.65 MHz radio frequency which permits users to communicate with a 'tap'.
Enterprise mobility: Its the blend of wireless technology and cloud computing which enables organizations to allows its workforce to work from remote locations. While sitting outside the boundaries of the organization, employees can complete pending tasks and communications with each other which is another technological advancement of wireless technology.
Some other changes like location identification using GPS to track the device location, asset tracking to find out the detailed information about a product, inductive or wireless charging which enables a device to charge an electronic device with a remote trigger etc. have also been introduced.
